Whilst filing our recently reviewed wills and other documents I found myself looking back on the varied work you have completed for me over a long period of time. I believe you have now handled my legal affairs for more than twenty-five years.

The work you have done for me includes several house purchases, advice on residency issues whilst I lived overseas, advice on taxation matters, a divorce, some loan documents, drawing up wills and powers of attorney, and employment issues. That is a pretty broad spectrum of legal matters, and you have proved well informed in all of them.

Your advice has always been sound and much appreciated, and I have come to value highly your opinions. It is apparent to me that you run a well-organised office as I have always found your staff knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. Matters are always handled with a very acceptable time frame.

It is pleasing to note that my high opinion of you is shared by others. I recently attended with my son Peter at a solicitor’s practice in Parramatta. When I mentioned that you were my solicitor, that gentleman immediately remarked on how much he enjoyed your occasional contributions to the Law Society Journal because they were so well thought through and were a great catalyst in his own pursuit of legal knowledge. And one of your staff once said of you … “Darryl loves the law”.

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my thanks to you, and all of your staff, for your professionalism when dealing with my affairs over many years. Lin and I look forward to our relationship with Browne Linkenbagh Legal Services continuing into the future.

There is, I believe, a vital need for everyone to have a good doctor, a good accountant and a good lawyer. I am lucky in having found all three, but especially fortunate that our mutual friend Ted Mahon referred me to you so many years ago.
